India November 2011
(late comers accepted if space is available)
Our India Journey is unique small group travel to the heart of modern India. You will be gently guided by Mike and Susan into a greater enjoyment and understanding of India’s complex society. We will see and enjoy some of the famous cities and sites such as Mumbai, Jaipur, Delhi and the Taj Mahal, but also experience rural village life and the real issues confronting many people. This will be a journey to remember and treasure and perhaps the beginning of seeing the world and others differently.
With over 15 years experience in programs dealing with community, travel and learning, your guides will ease your entry into the country and the cities, communities & villages we visit. This journey is a mixture of travel experiences: seeing the sights and culture of India, time to explore on your own, together with interesting presentations on history, governance and people development..and time to enjoy the food together. With our local Indian partners, we will also have time to meet first-hand inspiring people who are organising themselves to overcome poverty and injustice.
This is a journey for the heart and mind and will leave you with a new outlook on life and perhaps a wish and a way to contribute to a better world.
Along with our sightseeing, travel and cultural insights we will be privileged to visit some small voluntary community organisations in urban and rural communities who are creating change and hope in the lives of many people.
This Journey will touch your heart as you see and experience the many sides of India and its people and leave you with a sense of wonder for life’s diversity.
